🙌 Volunteer Roles – What’s Involved Our club thrives on volunteer support to make race nights run smoothly! Without our awesome helpers, we simply can’t race. Role Descriptions; 🚦 Gate Starter (Accreditation required) - Push the button, drop the gate, and send riders flying! 📣 Bottom Stager (WWCC required) - Call riders up, organise gates, and keep things flowing smoothly. 🚩 Berm Crew (1, 2 & 4) -Front row seat to the action! Keep an eye on riders and throw the yellow flag if needed. ⛑ First Aider (Qualified) - Our trackside hero – ready to jump in when needed. 👶 Mini Wheelers Helpers -Help our littlest legends at the start hill & finish line – lots of smiles guaranteed! 🍔 Canteen Crew - Burgers, chips, toasties & drinks – fuel the riders and the crowd! ⚠️ Facilities / Rubbish Legends - Keep the track looking sharp – bins, toilets, and general tidy-up. 🏁 Track Prep: Ensure track is safe, smooth & race-ready. Sweep loose gravel & inspect surface before racing. All on-track volunteers must wear closed-in shoes and a high-visibility (yellow) vest (provided by the club). Volunteer Requirement: Families must volunteer at least 5 times per season (per rider) or 8 times per season (per family). This must include at least 1 canteen shift, plus participation in race meets, busy bees, or fundraising events to be eligible for end-of-season trophies.
